This hotel is located 2minutes from the Gare Du Nord, we flew into CDG airport & were able to get a train for €9.50ea directly to Gare Du Nord which took about 30mins. From the station the hotel was a short walk, the staff were fantastic from are arrival with their customer service, also in English. Our room was a little small but clean, breakfast included was great value & nice, plenty of variety. From the hotel access to the whole of Paris is quick and easy with trains & busses that run from the Gare Du Nord frequently & ill-expensively, we had a great weekend and I would recommend this hotel as great value!

No wifi on top floor as indicated. Lift only went to the 5th floor and we were on the 6th. Very small for 4 people. Location to everything was good though. Breakfast was basic but ok. Staff were all pleasant

It is great location as it is close to main railway station but it gets a bit creepy in the evening. The flowrate of Internet was really bad so we couldn't do any booking in hotel.

I was very pleased with our stay at the AVALON . Staff were friendly and efficient. Our Room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was bountiful and quite good.

The location of the hotel was perfect for me as I could easily get anywhere I wanted to go from Gare Du Nord which is only 3 minutes walk to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful in giving me directions to where I needed to go.I would definitely stay here again whenever i am in Paris

This hotel was very convenient, being round the corner form the Gard du Nord. The room was clean and comfortable and service fine. Air conditioning in the room. We were in the attic suite and the only down side was that we were on top of the lift shaft which was quite clunky and noisy. Otherwise no complaints what so ever.

No air con in rooms. It was approx 30c and we were sweltering. We could have left the balcony doors open but were unsure of any mosquitoes as I am allergic to them and also of the traffic noise at nightOther than that we had a fantastic stay. Very nice and friendly staff who helped with everything. Even their suggestion re the hop on and off bus was a brilliant idea as we were only there for a few days having spent a few more in Toulouse. Very nice and clean hotel and very good breakfast in the mornings. All in all a good place to stay as it was very handy being near Gard du Nord which saved us a lot of travelling around as we got the Eurostar back rather than flying.Thank you very much for a pleasant stay

Had heard a few negative reviews, and was reallly worried! But it was great! The hotel was literally a 3-5 minute walk from the Gare Du Nord station when you come out the main front entrance. The hotel staff at reception were nice and spoke great English, the breakfast was good (croissants, juice, hot drinks, hams and cheese etc) The breakfast staff were quite rude but that didn't really matter. The rooms were clean and we got fresh towels everyday with beds made up fresh on request. The only thing was the rooms don't have A/C and were quite hot in the summer month, but the hotel was on a main road so it was very noisy, but when the windows were shut it was much quieter (but to be honest for the location and the price, the noise was bearable)! THANK YOU HOTEL AVALON! Fanny the receptionist was really great X

avalon hotel was very convinient for me and my family,very clean,nice nice breakfast and friendly staff.Wardrop is really small and Wi fi was not strong.Best of all its location beside gare du nord and ease of access to trains.i found what i was told.i would go there again.

We were for three nights in Paris , hotel was located two blocks near Gare du Nord very convenient and two blocks away Barbes station (not pleasant spot in Paris) rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Also sheets and towels were net. The family room is in the sixth floor (elevator goes up to fifth floor only ). Breakfast was basic but OK. The neighborhood was OK plenty of restaurants , stores and a market nearby. The hotel is good value for money I definitely recomend it for a stay in Paris. Also I recomend the hotel to add power outlets to room and a curtaim to bathtub.

We were very disappointed to find out our room as there was a huge difference to it shows on the website, room was filthy, tv remote doesn't work, small room and I requested a ground floor or first floor room which they didn't care about. Everytime you use the shower room, water splashes all over the place. Hand washing sink got no cap, I was washing my hands when my ring fell down the waste water hole, I then had to call someone. The person managed to get it for me but water from the waste pipe was still there the next day. But the receptionist Sylvia was very friendly and helpful. She told us some other places to visite and how to get there. Would not recommend this hotel......

I have been to many hotels near Gard du Nord, and this ithe best of htt cheap ones. Clean, modern, spacious rooms. good breakfast. All staff at all hours helpful. Triple rooms very spacious, twins fine. New studios ideal. Staircases a bit dark.

The room for having a breakfast was so tiny. You can fill the room with tables and chairs, but by using 1 chair you blocked at the same time 3 to 5 chairs. Bathroom: no curtain, so the showerwater makes the whole bathroomfloor wet.Bathroom: no place to put your bag, only on the floor (and the floor is wet from the shower)Room: 1 tiny lamp that gives no light (you cannot read in the light, you cannot find anything in your suitcase)room: 2 lights near the bed, but those lights only shined the wrong site and they shined so ligthless, that you cannot read. It wat not possible to pay with a creditcard. We were with 3 couples and the hotel didn't accepted our 3 credit cards.

personally, very good value for money. breakfast in the morning was perfect (and included so cant complain!!)we were on the ground floor in room 10 (suite) excellent room but a little noisy, but what can you expect from a city centre hotel?!literally 1 minute walk from gare de nord.will definately go again!

I would highly recommend being able to get off the Eurostar and walk for just a few minutes to the Hotel. After check-in take the short stroll up Montmartre.

Easy to find close to Gare du Nord and the metro. Lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Biggest fault was the beds-the mattresses were dead! But for Paris this hotel was economical and OK.
