Very close to the hotel you will find some major cultural and historical sites that Paris has to offer. Opera Garnier is a 10-minute walk away and was built in 1860 by the young architect Charles Garnier. With his vision of a new opera, he designed the "Opera Garnier" in the style of the Second Empire. The structure was completed in 1875 at the beginning of the Third Republic and was the largest opera theatre in the world staging enough for 450 players. Also the Sacré-Coeur Basilica is a 10 minute-walk away and is located on Butte Montmartre. The white Sacré-Coeur Basilica is a monument that can be seen from very far away, wherever you are in Paris. From the church itself people can enjoy spectacular views overlooking Paris. The basilica, built in Romano-Byzantine style, was built at the end of 19th century. Since its opening, the church received the title of Basilica, i.e. “place of pilgrimage”. Inside, guests can admire the largest mosaic of the world, covering 475 m², the wonderfully stained glasses, a large organ and 83 meter dome. Visiting the Dome you will have an unspeakable view of more than 50 km around. You can take the Montmartre funicular to reach the church; a very attractive way of transportation up and down the hill.
