We were shocked. The hotel was under reconstruction but don't let that get your hopes up for a later stay. The parts that have already been renovated were done poorly and some parts of the hotel, including the dangerous sloped stairs (required, as the elevator, when working, accommodates only 2 people) were beyond hope. I think it was among the worst condition hotels I've stayed at, including my voyages as a young hostel traveller. My bathroom was very dirty including dust on the exposed pipes and dirty grout in the shower. The room itself reminded me of a sleezy motel in the movies. The children's room was better, but barely. It has been renovated <grin>. The walls are paper thin. I had a couple next to me expressing their affection loudly, as if they were beside me. When they stopped, they had the nerve to bang on my wall aggressively when they heard me talking on the phone at a normal volume. I could go on. Now, the daytime staff were very nice and helpful. The night staff however made us feel like we should immediately turn around and leave when we checked in. I hope he enjoyed the soccer game and his newspaper. As far as location goes this is superb. You can walk to the Louvre in a few minutes and up to the opera in 10 .The Metro is right around the corner. If you are a sound sleeper, don't mind the feel of a cheap motel and are looking for a relatively inexpensive (?) hotel in a good location, this one is for you.

location is good, staff are helpful and friendly. the lift needs to be up graded and during our stay, renovation is going on. and the carpet was not properly fixed at the stair case, which can be dangerous at times.

You can't beat the position - near the Louvre, close to good restaurants, grocery, laundry and metro. Rooms are a good size and well maintained. Considering the prices of Paris hotels, quite reasonable (ie. about double price of say, Lyon or Dijon).

Hotel is in an excellent location -- just two blocks from the Louvre, metro, and bus stop! Enjoyed our stay -- desk clerks were very helpful with directions. Room was quite large. Large variety of restaurants nearby.

Good rate quality price. In a strategic position you could also leave subway and go walking in the centre without nothing else. Have a good time!

This hotel is a pretty decent one .Located very neat to Louvre. Staff are quite nice, but rooms can be maintained better than what they are. Air-cons in summer can be better since these rooms dont have them.

Except excellent location, our room was spatious, clean and comfortable. Staff is very kind and helpful. If I have to find a not so good side, that would be extra 10 eur per person for French breakfast which is not so generous, but you don't have to take it.

The hotel has very good location - just 100 m from Louvre and the metro station. It is exactly what could be expected from a 2 star hotel. The staff is friendly and helpfull. If you use English in your communication be sure, that the receptionist got your words properly.

Pros: The location of this hotel was excellent and the staff were friendly. it had a great selection of tourist activities on the stairs which gave us some great ideas. the street was well lit and its near to the top of the street. would def recommend as a no frills room.
