"When i needed to change the room, the staff eventually were very helpful..."
Pros: When i needed to change the room, the staff eventually were very helpful and changed it for me.
Cons: The hotel was one of the worst i have every stayed in, although the location is fantastic. the hotel needs a lot of work doing to it. the first room i was given, i asked to change which i have never had to do before due to the fact the door was very worn and doubted it was secure.

Pros: The location of this hotel is fantastic, you have the lourve, palace de concorde and the opera all within 2 - 10 min walking distance! the concierge at the hotel was very good
Cons: The breakfast was expensive at £15 per person per day - we dined out for breakfast. the hotel was very old fashioned in style - hasn't been redecorated since 1930's!! plus no tea and coffee facilites in room - i would expect this of a 2* hotel - let alone a 4* hotel. this should not be classified as 4* - maybe a 3*!! the lifts are very small and are like a cupboard - bu this maybe expected at the hotel is on old building.

Pros: Most of the reception staff were very helpful as were the staff in the breakfast room
Cons: The bathroom was dreadful: plaster breaking up on the walls big cracks in the ceiling; no plug in the bathtub; no cold water to the bidet only very hot. breakfast was very badly managed, one had to ask for everything eg teaspoons, jams. staff helfpful but not well-trained. it was a very poor hotel to have a 4star category. i think this was a very old award.

Cons: I was disappointed with the general condition of the hotel and was bewildered why it had been classed as a 4 star hotel.

"The staff are friendly happy and provide an excellent service"
Pros: The staff are friendly happy and provide an excellent service. they are polite and respectful. the bed was wonderfully comfortable! recent experience has been the beds are too hard - we like a firm bed but most have been so firm with no give.
Cons: We had been able to extend our stay at the same online booking rate at other hotels. this was the first to decline and to ask us to go online again to extend - found this odd. the internet wifi was only able to be used in the ante room of the reception foyer and had a very low connection that dropped in and out - hence we changed hotel. the bathroom could have done with a good detailed cleaning - the corners were dirty and there was black mould around the bath. the carpets in the room (and perhaps the curtains) held the smell of stale and old cigarette smoke probably from when smoking was allowed and needed replacing.

"The room was large, bright and airy"
Pros: The room was large, bright and airy. the bedding was changed daily. the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was superb.
Cons: I think the hotel should provide a kettle and facilities for tea/coffee in each room. i'm fairly sure this would differentiate the hotel from others in paris.

"Excellent location"
Pros: Excellent location. generally friendly and helpful staff. well prepared irish coffee in the bar after a long-day in museums provided a nice end to the day. dependable, good quality, free wireless internet in the lobby.
Cons: A broken pipe in the bathroom forced us to change rooms. the hotel facilitated our move to a more recently renovated room. prior to the move we were in a 4 star location in a 2 star room. after the move we were in a 4 star location in a 3+ to 4 star room. nice change.
