We booked a room at this place on a whim because some plans to stay on the Loire Valley fell through. After reading what the hotel had to say about itself in the discription on this site, I thought we were getting a great deal. Unfortunately, that was false. Let's begin with the claim that the Reims is close to Montmartre. I would love for them to explain how this is in any way close. Yes, I could see Sacre Coeur in the distance covered in smog. Could I walk there in a few minutes? Absolutely not. Next, I'll tackle the "cheerful environment" of the Reims. My sisters and I were afraid to open the blinds because there was a man outside who was constantly watching us. There were always creepy groups of men outside yelling about god knows what in the middle of the night. Absolutely not cheerful. In fact we were constantly in a hurry to get out of the hotel so we could be away from how creepy everything was. I could say something nice about the first gentleman who checked us in. He was quite friendly and very kind to us. Everyone after that was rude and not at all helpful. The man who checked us out of the hotel ran my card, and then literally turned away and said nothing to us until we said thank you. As for the rooms, they seemed clean until we looked under the beds. The toilet was partially in the shower, which was actually just some weird corner with raised tiles. When we wrote about all of this to the manager of the hotel, he didn't reply. We are extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

"Fantastic!!!"
We were very impressed with the hotel. It is close walking distance to the metro station and has all the liks you would need for all the tourist attractions. The room was spacious and clean with everything you would need for a short break. I would definately use this hotel again as the staff were polite and brilliant and had the extra facility of luggage storage at no extra cost....... which was brilliant when we had a late flight home.

"Nice enough...did a job"
I booked this room after having read several reviews. Essentially the room was clean and spacious enough. My main gripe would be the area, which as others have referred to can be a little bit nerve wrangling. On a positive note, the hotel is close to Stalingrad Metro station and also Gare Du Nord. I would reccomend the hotel as a cheap option but not for solo travellers.

"BEST INTERNET CONNECTION EVER IN A HOTEL"
It was a great stay. The room itself was small but adaquate for our needs. The staff were great. We have stated in RIU and other world class hotels BUT have never had such good internet connection in our room. Would recomend it!

"Great break away in Paris"
The hotel was lovely, easily accessable from Stalingrad Station and within 10-15minutes walking distance from Gare du nord Station. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was bigger than expected. It would of been nice to of had facilities in the room such as a kettle and maybe a small fridge if you were staying for more than a couple of days though however. The only negative point to the hotel is the location during the evening, it doesnt feel safe and is quite intimidating, particularly if your alone or young female travellers like my friend and I.

"The staff were lovely and the hotel was clean and well presented"
Pros: The staff were lovely and the hotel was clean and well presented.it was very close to the stalingrad metro stop.
Cons: The area surrounding the hotel was not the best, most local shops were closed and a lot of surrounding building were in disrepair. i would advise people to use the elevator rather than the stairs as they were very uneven however the elevator worked well so this wasn't a great problem.
"The staff were really wonderful and took a lot of care to let us know about..."
Pros: The staff were really wonderful and took a lot of care to let us know about the facilities available and that we could leave our bags in a locked room the day we checked out so we could do more site seeing. their english was excellent (but i could use my french as well). the room was recently refurbished to a modern feel as was the reception and the hallways/lift, we could see sacre cour from our window facing the street, the internet was good, the rooms were well sound proofed form the outside noise, it was 5 minutes walk or less from stalingrad metro and about 10 - 15 minutes walk from gare du nord (eurostar station) in almost a straight line. i would stay here again and i will be recommending to my friends.
