This quirky little hotel is in a great spot right next to a great little resturant with fantastic food. the boulevard is a straight walk on to the next bolouvaurd and so on, it is jam packed with shops,bars and resturants, and the hotel is right next door to the metro station. Everything you need is right on your doorstep. The hotel itself is very clean staff spoke good english and were both pleasent and very helpful. The room was very quirky is the word i would use to describe it. It was half mexican half sixtys hippy type style a fun room all round very bright in colours with beautiful paintings, chairs and table bath was very small but i have found that in most hotels i have stayed in, in paris. Bathroom very clean lovely and warm with a fantastic view. Bed was a bit to hard for me im afraid i slept like a baby but woke up in pain with my back. The only downfall i found was i had booked in for 3 nights from the 16th feb to 19th feb but had to leave on the 17th due to an emergancy at home, and was not offerd and kind of refund back at all so that was quite disapointing i also had already paid taxes and was charged again when leaving, and was charged 50 euros for 4 phone calls back home which didnt last longer then 5 mins each call so that was very steep. But all in all i would advice anyone whos looking for a budget hotel you really wont find better then this excellent value for money and in my opinion worth every penny. 5 stars *****

Just up stairs from Metro station. Great atmospheric local restaurants/bars with friendly staff and locals - yes in Paris! A local lady even stopped to ask if we needed help when we got lost. Slightly off the main tourist track so better value all round. Really helpful and friendly reception staff. Wacky decor so take your shades. Tiny lift so don't take fat friends! Has fridge in room which has space for your own drinks etc. Would certainly use again. Don't miss eating at Le Cepage just along the road, or having a beer at the little bar/bistro acrss from the Metro entrance.

great location. We stayed in the superior bedroom on the 7th floor which had huge windows, a private balcony and great views over northern Paris. we didn't deman much service, so ciulnt comment on that. The hotel could benefit from having an iron to use. The mattress was not a disaster, but could have been better. I would stay here again if I could e certain of getting the top floor room.

Pros: It was 'funky', great value for money and easily located above the lamrck metro. there was a lift to my room on the thrid floor which was a bonus and the room was a good size, nice bathroom and clean. the windows opened and when i leaned out i could see paris (which caused a sigh ofhappiness).

Pros: Staff were kind and obliging answered all questions well. booked taxis etc for us. breakfast was lovely with good staff to serve. 24hour presence in reception. clean tidy etc...

Pros: 1) there's a small lift in service (accomodate up to 2 paxs with luaggage), so at least we need not carry our luggage up the flight of stairs.
2) quite near the metro once traveller find out the exact location of hotel
Cons: Negative: room is very basic, furnishing and decor of room looks old and tired, although it it generally clean.

Pros: Exellent location , near the metro station and a short walk to the sacre coeur, monmatre vineyard, and place de tertre

Pros: All the staff had excellent command of english language.
Cons: First room allocated was a twin instead of double requested, but we arrived late at night and couldn't change until next day. it was also next to the lift which was very noisy. we moved following day after some reluctance on the part of the hotel. decided to check out and found another hotel for our third and final night.

Pros: Good location
Cons: Stains on linens, hair in the bathtub, a funny smell of long closed-up room, walls and doors painted with debatable taste, room door particularly hard to close, occasional lack of hot water (just warm), only one big bathroom tissue for 2 people, etc.
