very near to metro good service ,old style hotel with art deco type windows breakfast quick and very good continental style .All the staff were polite and helpful.We were able to leave our bags safely til we left inn the evening

The hotel is good for solo traveller for one or two nights stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stay or for families. The bathroom was very small and after a shower the whole bathoom floor was wet. The additional facilities in the room were very modest - ladies, take the hairdryer with you! The overall atmosphere in the hotel was nice and the personnel was ok. Also the breakfast was appropriate. The best thing about the hotel was its location.

I would like to recommend this hotel to any one who is coming to Paris with a friend.It's based in central of Paris with easy access to all the main touristic attractions and also to all the bar and clubs.The hotel is very old-class with a twist of modernisation. Rooms are clean with large windows and very comfortable beds.The staff is helpful and friendly.For the price they offer it is a lot that you get.I would definitely go back to The Royal Fromentin Hotel.

The service was perfect: very pleasant staff, tasty breakfast. Rooms are clean but very small and old. But It's not a problem if you stay in the hotel just to sleep. Old-fashioned interior make the atmosphere of Old Paris - very cool. A minus: thin walls. You can here how your neighbors make love in the morning)))

About as much as you can hope for at the prices they charge. Nothing fancy, just a friendly efficient service from the minimal staff (never saw more than two). Breakfast is plentiful which gets you off to good start if you're going to spend the day sightseeing. My only warning would be to pay close attention to the location; it's right in the middle of the red light area and is surrounded by sex shops, live shows etc. I hadn't paid much attention to the location when I booked and it was a bit of an eye opener for the group of language students I took there (and for me as well!)!

Good location in the heart of Montmartre district with a nice view of the Sacre Coeur. Found a good deal online so we got a nice room for a great price. Slept very well in a spacious room. The service was ok.

Stayed here on my own in December , hotel was very dated. room was small with no view in spite of the fact that I had requested a room on one of the top floors with a view. I got one on the 1st floor with a view over the back of the surrounding buildings.Breakfast was good and the service was fast and efficient. The staff were ok but not very forcthcoming o r helpful but answered questions when asked.Area was very seedy and rough lots of sex shops and seedy cafes.Montmarte was close by and the hotel was close to two metro stations.Would not stay here again

Pros: After reading a few negative comments on trip advisor was pleasantly surprised on how clean and inviting the hotel was. reception staff were helpful and breakfast was also good.

Cons: The receptionist there was so impolite. he always whispered in french and kind of blaming you with an awful facial expression after you request him something. there were twice happened, which really pissed me off and totally ruined everything.

Pros: Having visited paris on numerous occasions, this was easily the best hotel i've stayed at. the staff was fantastic even though i don't speak french well. the location is hard to beat and there is no better deal for the price i paid. i will always attempt to stay at this location in the future.

Pros: An excellent location . we had a room with a balcony and view of sacre coeur. the breakfasts were good, friendly staff.
Cons: The room wasn't serviced until 5pm so we had to go and sit in the lounge whilst this was done.

Pros: The rooms were lovely and the location was fantastic
Cons: When we checked in i felt as if the lady on the desk was unsure of our booking and when we went down for breakfast at 915am (service finished at 10am) i got the impression from the lady serving that it was quite an inconvenience to her to serve us at that time .

Pros: The hotel is steeped in history and retains much of it's old world charm. modern it isn't, but it is clean and 3 star is about right. staff were helpful, breakfasts were adequate. it's location is easy to find and on a quiet side road. dont be put off by the fact that it is in the red light district. this is no problem at all. metro's of pigalle and blanche both within a couple of minutes walk. there are loads of resatraunts and cafe's away from the main rue clichy. or you can visit the moulin rouge, which is about 5 minutes walk away.
Cons: The hotel could be a little noisy in the mornings due to the early risers going down for breakfast.
away from the hotel, watch out for the pickpockets and beggars on the metro during busy periods, but that applies all over paris

Cons: Everything was fine apart from that they were an hour and a half late in letting us in our room and it felt like it was a lot of time wasted waiting for the room when we could have been doing things, breakfast was lovely however it is not an american breakfast as the brochure says!
