"Convenient and good value for exploring Paris, especially if travelling by Eurostar"
This hotel is very conveniently located only 2 metro stops from the Gare du Nord, so is excellent if you are travelling via Eurostar. The surroundings of the hotel are pleasant and the hotel rooms are pleasant and very clean. The corridors and stairwell are a bit dark and dingy, but that wasn't an issue as the rooms were fine. Getting into central Paris was very easy and we found the hotel an excellent base from which to explore Paris. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so can't comment on that, as there are a couple of cafes on the way to the metro station (Jaques Bonsergeant). One thing to be careful of is which metro station you use. Going via Jaques Bonsergeant was pleasant, but when we walked to another nearby station we had to walk through an area that was somewhat rough and we decided not to use that metro station from the hotel.

 "Paris dissaster"
The rooms were small, had to sit sideways on the toilet, no air conditioner, elevator not working for the last 3 days and never saw anyone working on it. Poor customer service, no manager on duty, Good location for public transportation but the street was dirty, full of garbage and smelly.I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

 "Clean and pleasant stay"
Only not happy with the communication through easy booking and the hotel. No 3rd bed was made for one of our kids as requested, the boy had to sleep on a mattress on the floor! But all in all had a clean rooms and slept great!

 "Perfect!"
I stayed here with three girl friends for 3 nights and I would definitely stay again. Hotel Taylor is very central (and two minutes walk from a metro station) but surprisingly quiet - we all slept really well. Both our rooms were pretty, comfortable and very clean; the beds were made every morning, and the tea/coffee supplies were also replenished every day. The staff could not have been more helpful.I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Paris on a short city break - we were close to all the tourist sights, and both the hotel and staff are lovely. I would definitely stay here again if I ever returned to Paris. Thank you, Hotel Taylor!

 "Stay at Hotel Taylor"
Hotel staff very pleasant. Rooms very clean which is a plus. There is no air con which I had not checked when booking as I expected this category of hotel to have it automatically. We were very hot and sleeping with a fan is not great. The bathrooms are tired looked Otherwise great value for money.

 "very enjoyable stay!"
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Taylor would definitely use the hotel again. It was very close to a tube station which was two stops from the main train station making it handy for travelling to the airport. There was a very nice bakery and small supermarket nearby which was useful. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke good english. The breakfast was nice but we felt it was quite expensive for what it was. The room was very nice and we loved the shabby chic decor..especially the marilyn monroe picture on the wall. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet so we always had a good night's sleep. There was always staff members at reception so there was no overnight curfew. Check out time is reasonable (11am) and we were able to leave our luggage in a secure area in the hotel until our flight home which was not until 7pm which prevented a lot of stress! The hotel was very lovely and would be perfect for any couple for a romantic weekend and we would happily recommend Hotel Taylor to friends and family.

 "Good - until check-out"
This was a value for money hotel bordering the 10th and 2nd not far from Republique metro making it easy to get around Paris and far enough away from main tourist spots to make eating out affordable. The room was small but clean and comfortable for two people with a serviceable bathroom so in that respect I would recommend it to the budget traveler.A technical issue upon check-out is what soured the whole experience of our stay when my travelling companion was charged three times for her share of the hotel bill due to a malfunction of their eftpos facility. The hotel refuses to accept any responsibility for this so she has been left with a E900 bill and has to chase getting her money back with her Australian bank.

 "Nice Hotel"
The hotel mentions that Repulique is the nearest stop from the hotel - however if you have never been to this area before the hotel can be tricky to find and I recommend getting off at Chateau D'eau. The street coming out of the hotel isn't that nice during the day and there are a lot of people that hassle you as you are walking down the street trying to give you leaflets and such. However the hotel was really nice and the staff where helpful and friendly - there is a luggage room where you can leave your suitcases before check in and after you check out which is useful. The metro stop Chateau D'eau is on a good line for all the good main attractions and goes straight from Gare Du Nord. All main attractions are a couple of metro stops away. Room was smaller then expected but good value and nicely decorated.

"The staff was great, more pleasant and helpful than in many more expensive..."
Pros: The staff was great, more pleasant and helpful than in many more expensive hotels where we have stayed over the years. the room was very comfortable and the staff made a real effort to check us in early after a long overnight flight. they continued to be most helpful throughout our stay.
Cons: The lobby/exterior appear a little on the small side at first, but you soon get over it, the room was good.

"Hotel taylor is a well presented, clean and quite "french" hotel located in..."
Pros: Hotel taylor is a well presented, clean and quite "french" hotel located in one of the most central areas of paris. the highlights were the location and the wonderful female receptionist, who was always so welcoming and friendly. the room was small but perfect for 2 people, with lovely furnishings and a comfy bed. great value for money!
Cons: The breakfast was expensive and not great (no hot breakfast, just a standard continental buffet of cereal, meats and baked goods). it desn't detract from how good hotel taylor is though, as it's positioned in an area with an abundance of great cafes and boulangeries!
