 "Pretty Good for a Weekend"
The hotel is about 8 min away from all the main attractions in Paris. You can reach them very easily by metro. The Station "Riquet" is only 100m away. There are a lot of little Fruit/Vegetable Shops nearby as well as several grocery stores. The staff was friendly and spoke english. The room was quite small but we didnt spend a lot of time in the room. It bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The room was cleaned every day and we had no problems what so ever. The TV only has 4 channels or so but that is ok. For a weekend in Paris its worth its money. Couldn't complain!

 "Value for money!"
What you pay for is what you get. Single rooms are quite good with enough space. Bath is small with very tiny sink. Heating is hot airco-air. Not always enough hot water for bath. Overall, location definitely out of centre but very close to Riquet metro stop so who cares? Area full of shops. So looking for value sleeping place, consider Le Canal.

 "Good choice for a short break"
The location is only 25 yards from the Riquet Metro Station exit, just a few minutes from the Eurostar rail terminus and as we were on the 5th floor the noise of the trains did not disturb us at all. The Superior room we had was very compact and lacked any drawers but was OK for a short stay. The tea making facility was a pleasant surprise but the lack of hot water in the shower was a bit of a disappointment. The only English speaking channel on the flat screen TV was CNN, but we did not realize that watching it changes the time displayed to that of London and this remained on display when the set was off, causing us to be late for breakfast by one hour! We enjoyed the continental breakfast, particularly the bread fresh from a local bakery and the coffee. The gentleman in charge was very helpful.On one night the fire alarm went off at 4am and again at 5am due to inconsiderate guests smoking despite clear signs prohibiting smoking in the hotel. There were no staff around to speak to on the first occasion but on the second someone did eventually answer the phone to explain that there was no actual fire.This is a small hotel decorated in a modern style with a film theme, that is to say there are photos of movie stars all over the place. Our room smelt a bit damp on entry but after running the efficient air-conditioning for a short while it did not bother us. We certainly would consider staying at this hotel again because of its convenient location and reasonable price.

 "good value"
I stayed a couple of nights in this hotel by the canal, not far from the gare du lyon (eurostar train station). Room was clean, new, spacious, ensuite bath, tv, tea&coffe, balconet, air con.the breakfast was excellent, boiled eggs, ham, salami, various cheeses, bread, pastries, cereals, fruits, juices, etc.If you go to Paris for sightseeing this hotel might no be walking distance to the sights but easily reached by underground.
