"Great base from which to see a beautiful city"
This hotel was a wonderful surprise. It is hidden on the street and very hard to find, however a real treat once inside - lots of character, yet modern, clean and nicely decorated. I was a little concerned about the proximity of the location to the "red light district" but we did not encounter any problems.

 "Amazing Hotel!"
I had such a good time staying at this hotel. The location is right next to the Moulin Rouge, and a short distance to the Saćre Coer. It is also located right next to a metro station, which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly, and all of them spoke English. This hotel has the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! I definitely recommend this hotel. I will be staying here again next time I'm in Paris!

 "Nice and confortable"
This hotel has a good location, the service is correct, the room clean with an amazing shower!! Even if the street is full of bar and cabarets like the famous "Le Moulin Rouge", your quiet will not be disturbed.

"Room for 3, Happy as Can Be!"
This place was a wonderful stay. We travelled as a family (mom, dad, and adult child) and were so happy to find a room that could accomodate all three of us. The morning buffet breakfast was worth the stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Terrific, friendly service.

"We stayed in paris for 3 nights"
Pros: We stayed in paris for 3 nights. we loved this hotel from the moment we walked in! we were met by the wonderful murat who made us feel very welcome and allocated us a fantastic room and gave us a run down of what was around for food/drink as we arrived quite late. he was so accomodating as were all the staff. he sorted out our airport shuttle transfer back which is good value. room was large (for paris) and spotlessly clean with a great bathroom, full of toiletries that were really good and for us girls 'a proper hairdryer', ac working, room cleaned daily. noise was not really an issue and we stayed in october (very busy race weekend) we just took earplugs and went with the knowledge that its a busy lively area. we were lucky enough to look out onto side street rather than the front (which has a great view but should imagine slightly noisier). but really do not be put off as its so central to everywhere, great hotel that i would recommend to anyone. as with other reviews be aware its situated in the rld of paris, but don’t be put off by this as its perfectly safe and know one bothers you at all. we had great time people watching from the cafe's! we will definatley return to le chat noir on our next trip to paris. thansk to the hotel staff at chat noir.

"Very nice clean and modern rooms, polite staff"
Pros: Very nice clean and modern rooms, polite staff.
Cons: Lack of storage space in the rooms ie no draws to put belonging in and could do with a shelf or something above the sink in the bathroom. needed a plug socket near the mirror for my wife to do her hair with hair dryer or straighteners

 "Lovely friendly staff"
Pros: Lovely friendly staff. superb location. definitely stroll up the rue lepic for amazing cafes, bars, restaurants, vegetable shops, etc. and make sure to rent a bike (right outside the hotel as is the metro stop).
Cons: No lobby, but not required as the street is full of lovely bars etc. also we had to wait an extra hour before we could check in as they were painting our room which also smelled a bit of paint. didn't spoil the fun though!

What used to be a famous Parisian Cabaret is now a charming hotel. Le Chat Noir has preserved all its poetry.
