Place Clichy Paris  

On arrival and throughout the stay the staff were always helpful, the hotel is in a fabulous location and served perfectly as a base for our trip, close to the metro and there is a lovely bakery around the corner to get freshly baked goods for a budget trip; it was also very clean. Unfortunately these were the hotel's only qualities. The 'non smoking room' has the distinct odour of smoke, all of the window in the hotel were covered by a sheet externally due to the scaffolding and builders, who were there every morning and made the noises you would expect. Most rooms are placed around a central staircase and you can hear everything. Ear plugs are definitely advised if you want to sleep. The sheets were clean, but very old and had clear signs of wear and tear. As mentioned before it is the perfect base, and although the price is just about fair, with all the disruption from the building work I wasn't overly happy with the rate. I really hope the hotel is much improved after the work because I really believe it has great potential.

Pros: This hotel provides good basic clean accommodation for the price. the location is good beside metro and very central
Cons: While the location is good the street outside is very noisy and you could not sleep with the windows open. no air conditioning. the smallest lift i ever saw.

Pros: Staff were nice and freindly. hotel was quiet, despite being in a busy location.
Cons: Shower was old and the shower base was very slippy.
