The Tour Montparnasse Paris can be found on the Left Bank of the Seine River. This arrondissement also is home to most of the district known as Montparnasse. Of special interest in Montparnasse is the Tour Montparnasse, an eye-catching skyscraper. The university known as the Cite Internationale Universitaire de Paris is also in the Parc Montsouris, a Paris city park, is close to the university. Designed like an English garden, it is a lovely area for a leisurely walk or a picnic.
The famous Paris Catacombs are located in the area, along with the Cimetiere de Montparnasse, the Montparnasse Cemetery. Stade Charlety, a multi-use Paris stadium, is mostly used for rugby league matches. This venue was built in 1938. The Musee Lenine, Musee Jean Moulin, and the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain are other attractions that visitors will want to see.
