Parc de la Villette is a Right Bank district that sits on the banks of the River Seine. Two canals, the Canal Saint-Denis and the Canal de l’Ourcq, cross this arrondissement and meet at the Parc de la Villette. This is a park that is located right at the edge of the border of Arrondisement Parc de la Villette, and is the biggest fully landscaped park in Paris. In this park is the Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie, which is the largest science museum in all of Europe. The La Geode, a domed theater featuring Omnimax, is also in the Parc de la Villette.
Another public park in this district is the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. It is a large park, and very popular with the Parisian locals. There are Chinese and English gardens, a grotto with a waterfall, a lovely lake, and several bridges, including a suspension bridge. The Belvedere of Sybil, a Corinthian style monument, is also in this park. The Conservatoire de Paris, a part of the Cite de la Musique and one of the most well-known music schools in Europe is located in the Arrondisement.
