Basilique Notre-Dame/Basilica Notre Dame Boulogne sur Mer

Constructed between the years 1827 and 1866, this neoclassical basilica was erected on the site of an old cathedral's ruins. Largely a work made by the local people, the Basilica of Our Lady was inspired by such great structures as London's St. Paul, Paris' Invalides, Rome's St. Peter and the Pantheon. As a result, this magnificent structure offers one of the best architectural sights in Boulogne-sur-Mer that you can set your eyes on. Even if the basilica is somehow tucked right in the corner of Boulogne, its impressiveness is really something that you don't want to miss during your visit in the town.
