Here, children can take their pick of picture books or novels and read them on the spot or perhaps in one of the many reading rooms adjoining the library floor. However, it is really on Wednesdays and Saturdays that you will understand why this library is placed on the list of Lyon attractions. At exactly three o'clock, you will see a great number of children rushing to the library for what is termed as the “hour of discovery”. This is the mystery gathering which no single adult can be part of. It is when children, ages 6 to 8, learn about art and the collections of the library that includes fables and Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. There is also a storytelling hour for kids aged 3 to 4 years old every Wednesday at 10:30 in the morning.
