Le Lude Hotels and Accommodation
Le Lude is a town in the Sarthe region of France, primarily known for the extraordinary castle located there. The castle was used as a fort as early as the 10th century by the Counts of Anjou, as a defense against Norman invasions. But, it is likely best known as the residence of the Daillon family, who held it from 1447-1685. Jehan de Daillon was a friend of Louis XI, and was the governor of Dauphine. Today, the castle is a popular tourist attraction, along with the many other castles located in the Loire valley of France.
In addition to visiting castles during your stay, you’ll also enjoy following the Loire Valley Wine Trail, visiting many vineyards and tasting rooms along the way. Some of France’s most popular wines come from this region. Stag hunting is a popular sport in this area, as is cycling. Several museums are located throughout the Loire valley. Hotels in Le Lude are limited, so book your trip here on EasyToBook.com early to ensure the best room for your stay.
