Hostellerie le Prieure is an outstanding 4-star Hotel and restaurant, situated in the heart of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, a small French medieval town near Avignon. The area is famous for its annual festival of theatre and performing arts. Housed within the walls of a former 14th century priory and renovated in 2007, the hotel is a member of the chain Relais & Chateaux since 1959. The property is a perfect mix of historic architecture and contemporary interior design. Since April 2008, the ancient priory has been experiencing a renaissance: more space and light, new ultra-modern furniture, and the arrival of a culinary master chef. For an unforgettable stay in Avignon Hotel Le Prieuré offers tour assistance for a range of interests: cultural, oenology (science behind wine making), golf, and wellness. The hotel offers a swimming pool, 2 outdoor tennis courts, and complimentary parking. Annual closing: From 3 January to 10 February. From 1 November to 15 December the hotel is closed on Sunday evenings and Mondays.
