Conflans Sainte Honorine is a northwestern suburb of Paris. The town of Conflans Sainte Honorine was once named Sainte Honorine, after Saint Honorina, who died in the 9th century and whose remains were interred there. The town is considered the capital of French inland waterways due to its strategic position and even to this day there are many barges lining the harbor, although most are used as houseboats. The bridge and boats make for a picturesque backdrop while enjoying a picnic. On the River Seine, L'institut de France is an impressive building, architecturally. Of course, Paris is just a short distance away for those seeking more exciting diversions.
