Located within the Bad Cannstatt region of Stuttgart, an area once famous as a spa resort, the Bad Cannstatt Wilelma Zoo is a great place to visit for any Germany tourist looking for something to do. The Bad Cannstatt region itself is centrally located to many of Stuttgart’s most impressive sights, and the Wilhelma Zoo, which doubles as a nature park is just one of many of them.

The Zoo features many building constructed in Spanish architecture which is unique to the region and makes for a very arresting sight. The park itself, however, is most well known for its collection of monkeys, which boasts a wide variety of specimens across many species. In addition, visitors can enjoy a farm area with reserves for all types of African animals, and a compound which reproduces the climate of South America, housing many animals there. With over 5000 different types of plants, the Botanical Gardens are also a great place to visit.
