One of the nicest examples of architecture in all of Stuttgart is the Schloss Rosenstein Natural History Museum. Originally built in the 19th century, this was a palace, and is considered to be a masterwork of the Neo Classical architectural style. It is incredibly noteworthy as well because it features a sub-building that is highly unique in this area, being built in the oriental style of pagoda design!

The palace is surrounded by a beautiful park with a perfectly symmetrical design that is bound to appeal to lovers of natural beauty. The grounds and the palace itself, as well as the pavilion, are all open to the public. Today, these buildings house the Stuttgart Nature Museum, which shows examples of natural history from the region, dating back many centuries. Railway and history buffs will be excited to know that below the palace lies the world’s very first underground railway tunnel, which can still be seen!
