The City Hotel Torbräu is a modern, family-run hotel featuring a long tradition of hospitality in Munich, situated by the historic Isartor,right by the entrance to the Old Town. Within walking distance of Munich tourist attraction, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues,the City Hotel Torbräu offers its guests warm atmosphere, welcoming rooms and personalized services.Perfect for a holiday or a weekend break to discover the capital city of Bavaria, the City Hotel Torbräu is also the ideal choice for business travellers who will certainly appreciate the hotel's meeting facilities, plenty of daylight and featuring state-of-the-art equipment.Friendly staff and great location the hotel is just blocks away from the Marienplatz square and medieval cathedral with many cafes and bars and restaurants. Theinternational First Class Hotel in downtown Munich offers old world charm with modern meeting room facilities and a restaurant. The city center Torbräu hotel is suitable for guest on a flying visit to the Munich or on a short European City Break. The Torbräu Munich is located at the end of the long pedestrian shopping street. It is in close proximity to the subway line as well as a short walk from the Deutsche Museum. It is also a great location for the main shopping mile and close to the huge park Englischer Garten where you can stop for a refreshing ice cream on your way home for your shopping trip, you can also have a beer here,rent a boat or watch people sunbathing.In December and January right outside the hotel it is possible for guests and visitors to Munich to sample some Christmas cheer in one of the Christmas markets around the city. Visitors to these markets can warm up with a nip of Gluhweirn (mulled wine) which can be taken with either a shot of rum or amaretto. Definitely something to warm you up on a cold winters night and for those visitors wanting something with a bit of a kick why not try Feuerzangenbowle,which basically is a lump of sugar, soaked in rum and then set on fire and placed in your mulled wine. Oktoberfest Beer Hall! The Hofbrauhaus am Platzl is the most famous beer hall in the world. It is located in the city center of Munich and houses the second largest tent at the Oktoberfest. The tent receives a huge number of visitors each October for two weeks. And is undoubtable one of the main things that attract tourist to the city. The first Oktoberfest was held in 1810 in honour of the marriage of crown price Ludwig.and has been held every September since then. Despite it being called Oktoberfest the festival is held in September each year and finishes on the first Sunday in October. Alianz Arena! This top class stunning stadium is home to Bayer Munich.The stadium is located in the North of Munich, Germany. The architectural impressive stadium was the main venue for the 2006 World Cup. In 2012 the UEFA Champions League Final. There are daily tours of the stadium on non match days at 1 p.m. Tours are given in English and they show the players dressing rooms, the press conference areas and VIP areas. Englischer Garten – The Green Oasis! The English Garden is a popular spot with tourists and locals. Many people can be found here on sunny Sunday afternoons and even in the cooler months there is plenty of activity to be found in this delightful garden. The Englischer Garten is the largest public green area in the world.
