Built for the 1972 Olympic games, the Olympic Stadium is easy to find in Munich. Near the Olympic Stadium you will also find restaurants, shopping and sightseeing activities of all kinds. Taking a trip to the Olympic Stadium is a must, especially if you can catch one of the football games, outdoor concerts or other events that are often hosted at this facility.
You may also want to head over to the stadium to see the state of the art Sport, Health and Leisure Center or take the breathtaking Roof Walk where you actually climb the roof and then are harnessed and drop to the field, a ride of about 40 meters. For those less adventurous there is a guided tour of the lobby, which provides a historical perspective on the sporting events and cultural events held within the stadium.
