In the lovely city of Nuremburg in Germany there is an attraction that is located underneath the Rathaus in the city or the city’s Town Hall. The attraction is the Medieval Dungeons of Nuremburg which date all the way back to the 14th century. The dungeons are a very popular attraction bringing many visitors to the city each year. The Medieval Dungeons are comprised of 12 cells in which they used to hold the prisoners who were waiting for their trial or an execution, and a torture chamber larger than the cells.
There is a guided tour available which in addition to showing you all the cells you hear the stories of the prisoners and what all happened to them during their stay in the dungeon. This tour is available for most of the year and the tour lasts about 20 minutes in all. The Medieval Dungeon is a must stop when visiting Nuremburg.
