 "Hotel a classic"
Pros: Hotel a classic. you can feel the history of the building. reviews i'd read in making my choice said it wasn't a great facility. i don't know about anyone else, but when traveling abroad you loose something in the experience if you stay in american style hotels. this is europe! the facility down to its old fashioned elevator was wonderful. the people friendly and helpful. as for location, it was perfect. just minutes from major sites. the aventure started daily 5 minutes from the hotel. recommended.

Pros: The room was simple, clean and had a good size. the staff were helpfull and gave us the information we needed of berlin. the location was nice and it was easy to find a u-bahn and a bus nearby.
Cons: There were no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. we are use to there are these things in a hotel, so we didn't bring any. it would have been nice to have known that before arriving to berlin.
breakfast was really poor - actually really disappointing.
