 "Great hotel with character"
You only have to visit their website to see this is a very quirky hotel, and it's this character on top of the great standard and service that they provide that makes them stand out. The position is also excellent, minutes stroll from Museum Island and Brandenburg Tor. Only drawbacks are mentioned in other reviews; there is no elevator and the hotel is right next to the train line. I live near a train line so it didn't bother me (it was actually kind of comforting), but if you think it might keep you up ask for a room on the other side of the hotel.

 "Great boutique style hotel."
The location is a ten min walk from the busier part of town. There isnt really much in the local area. The whole place looks like it was designed by college art students! But this is all part of the charm. The staff were all great and the breakfast provided next door was fantastic. Downside is the walls are rather thin so you are always aware of neighbours. This is not really a family hotel rather than a travelling/business stay.I was pleasently happy and would def stay again.

 "A comfy place"
It was a comfy hotel and very close to all the attractions of Berlin. But, we did get a very boring room if you compare to the pictures online. Those rooms exist - they do - but we didn´t get one. A bit disappointing.

 "Quirky and cool"
This quirky hotel was clean, comfortable and cool. No breakfast was included in the room price, but there breakfast served next door for an additional fee. However, there are also some nice cafes close by for breakfast. In rooms facing the railway, earplugs area must, though, but they were provided by the hotel. Free internet was a bonus.

Pros: Adorable rooms, great location, great service, clean/new facilities. great for a thrifty traveller
Cons: Train noise was audible all day/night. room got really bright in the morning with the sunrise.

Adorable rooms, great location, great service, clean/new facilities

Arte Luise Kunsthotel is centrally located in Berlin within view of the Reichstag Parliament Building, the River Spree, Friedrichstraße, Unter den Linden, and the Brandenburg Gate, in a historic area that has recently been attracting attention with top architecture on both sides of the Spree. The hotel is often referred to as a "gallery where you can spent the night" and is sited in one of the most exciting districts of the German capital, Berlin Mitte. Comprising a neo-classical residential palace from 1825 and a new part from 2003, the hotel offers 48 rooms, a spacious lobby, and an art gallery for holding exhibitions and smaller events. Each room was decorated by a renown artist, whereby the entire room was included in the concept, so that each of them is an original. Moreover, sculptures in the lobby and the artistic philosophical stairway accompany guests to their accommodations. This combination of a truly unique location, the diverse artistic concepts, and the pleasant urban atmosphere of the small hotel make a stay at the Arte Luise Hotel in Berlin an incomparable experience. At the reception desk of the Arte Luise Kunsthotel the young, yet expert team is at guests´ disposal 24/7. The hotel restaurant Habel offers a fusion of German and Mediterranean cuisine, which on summer days is also served on the ample terrace in the courtyard. Wireless Internet access is provided in the public areas, free of charge. Please note that some of the rooms overlook the train tracks. Despite several noise reduction amenities, this may still represent an unconvenience for those who are used to complete silence at night.
