One of the things that the city of Berlin has absolutely no shortage of is cathedrals. There are so many beautiful and huge cathedrals located throughout the city you really need to visit more than once just to get to see all of them. One of the nicest of all of the churches in the city of Berlin is the St. Hedwig’s Cathedral. This great old cathedral was originally built in the years from 1747 to the year 1773.

This cathedral was rebuilt after, like many other fine old structures in Berlin Germany, was very badly damaged during the Second World War. This rebuild happened during the years of 1952 through 1963. When you go inside of this lovely building you can see the amazing 16th century Madonna as well as the Pieta which dates back from the year of 1420. These amazing pieces are enough to make the trip there worth your time
