 "nice spot close to Tiergarten.."
I was there with my husband for a long weekend and the location is a bit off the centre, but very close to Tiergarten and the shopping area "Kurfürstendamm". We had a great time there, and it is worth to take the suite with the sauna and whirlpool in the bathroom, since Berlin is a city where you cannot avoid to walk longer distances, so that is an ideal option to relax and take a spa. We loved it and will come back for sure.

Cons: The food in the eck restaurant was subpar. the food in the eclipse lounge was great. the morning coffee was overprices.

Pros: It is a top-notch hotel with very nice rooms (comfortable, great beds, and nicely furnished), professional staff and good facilities - as one would expect for a hotel of this calibre.
Cons: Throughout this particular stay, we heard intermittent squeaking noises from upstairs which was not ideal especially at night when trying to go to sleep. it is about 10-15 minutes walk away from the nearest metro station which is a little further than ideal. it also seemed the availability of taxis waiting at the hotel was often spotty.
