There are many great Cathedrals in Germany and some of the nicest are in the great city of Berlin. Berlin has a huge German Cathedral in its city, along with a beautiful French Cathedral. The French Cathedral is located in the Gendarmenmarket Square which is a square in Berlin. The fabulous cathedral was opened in the year 1705 by Huguenot. This amazing cathedral is home to a very informative museum, called the Huguenot Museum, which tells the history of the Huguenot family.
The Huguenot Family sought out sanctuary in Berlin after fleeing the country of France. This wonderful museum contains numerous paintings and artifacts that were once owned by the Huguenot family. The dome of the cathedral is a great place to view the city from and it is of course open to the public. This wonderful dome was added to the cathedral, after its construction, in the year 1785.
