Bremen Hotels and Accommodation
The smallest city-state, Bremen, is a combination of the port city of Bremen and Bremhaven. Bremhaven incorporates the Lower Saxony Wattenmeer National Park. It is also known for its lighthouse, the Museum Harbor and a U-Boat Museum on board an actual U-Boat. The small rural town of Bremen, however, is famous for its tale, “The Bremen Town Musicians.” You can find a statue dedicated to this tale in the square.
Bremen tourism, which offers much to do in Bremen, includes the statue on a tour of the town. During a weekend in Bremen, you can see this and many other Bremen attractions. These include a visit to the Roselius Haus recognizable from the Meissen bells at its rooftop. This 14th c. building is now home to a museum with Dutch and German art. Other examples of Bremen culture you can locate in the Überseemuseum (ethnography museum) located near the Old Town. However, if you want to go shopping in Bremen, head to the Marketplatz. You can locate it in the Medieval quarter of the city dominated by a 10-m tall statue of Roland built in 1404. Be sure to visit Bremen sights such as St. Peter’s Cathedral with its Gothic towers and late 18th century mosaic interior.
