 "Very good and helpful staff"
Pros: Very good and helpful staff. good room, well maintained. excellent breakfast, and they looked after our vistors well whilst i travelled back to the airport to pick up my hire car.
Cons: Web site picture implied a hotel situated in grounds with a lake, so somewhat disappointed to discover it was simply on a street corner with no grounds and no reception on the ground floor. we had to find/take a lift to the fifth floor, then wearily drag our luggage up another narrow flight of stairs to find the reception, then back down again to get to our room. the following day the lift was not available due to being refurbished.

The Mecklenheide is a great hotel in Germany, located on the outskirts of Hanover.
