Dusseldorf is a city that is continuously pushing towards the future with many modern establishments and a new sense of design that is tending away from the history of German architecture and going in new bold directions. As great as this is, however, there remain many attractions that preserve the colorful and rich past of Dusseldorf, and these are bound to be appealing to any visitor is looking for something to do. The Schloss Benrath and Park is but one such attraction.
Built in 1755, the Schloss Benrath is actually a hunting lodge that sports the Neo-Classical architectural style that the city is famous for. Being a hunting lodge, it is situated within large grounds of preserved wilderness that are very popular among both locals and visitors as something of a park. Apart from this, the Schloss Benrath itself houses three museums that are certain to be of interest: the Museum of Natural History, the Corps de Logis, and the Museum of European Garden Art.
