The Market Square of Dusseldorf, like many of the famous market squares throughout Germany, is an excellent place to visit for those looking for something to do in Dusseldorf. This is because the Market Square is located right in the heart of the city and is centrally located not only to Dusseldorf’s many famous attractions, but also to plenty of restaurants, hotels, bars, and other modern amenities.

One of the most famous sights to be seen in Dusseldorf Market Square is the the Dusseldorf Town Hall. This is one of the oldest buildings in the city that still survives in its original form, and is considered to be a masterwork of Renaissance architecture, with a highly ornate style that includes many Gothic elements; just what one would expect from German architecture. The Market Square is also famous for the traditional Christmas markets that are held during November and December each year; truly a unique part of local culture and history.
