The country of Germany is home to some fine castles and other residences; the cities of Germany are full of many lovely homes that are worth taking a visit to go and see. One residence in the town of Koblenz that is surely worth your trip to Germany is called the Alte Burg. Alte Burg is a fortified house built back in the year 1185 from remnants of fortifications from Rome. This lovely house was extended into a fortress in the year 1277 by Trier’s Archbishop.
The Alte Burg was changed into the condition it is in today around the 17th century. In present times it is used by the city to house libraries and other archives of information. This great building is a wonderful place to visit in the town of Koblenz because of its very interesting and beautiful architecture; the front of the building is in the Renaissance style.
