The city of Meissen is the location of an amazing museum of a porcelain factory and a huge castle and cathedral. The name of this great castle located in Meissen is called the Albrechtsburg Castle and Cathedral. The castle complex is way up on a hill top and was once use in the manufacturing of porcelain. The building of the castle is of late Gothic style and was built in the years of 1471 through 1489.
The Albrechtsburg is today use as the home of a museum of history of the area as well as of the castle complex itself. The museum in the castle is filled with many works of art as well as items made of porcelain. These works are from the medieval times and are an important part of the history of the town.
