When you are in the town of Lubeck in Germany visiting the Burgator Tower, at the northern entrance to the city, make sure to visit the nearby Burgkloster Priory. The Buggkloster Priory was built in the year 1227 and has gone through many different uses in its time in existence. The Burgkloster Priory was used starting in the fifteen hundreds as ahome for the poor of the town. Later the building was used as both a court and a prison.

In the present day the Burgkloster Priory is used as a cultural center for the town of Lubeck. There are held in the building exhibits of art and various other exhibits all throughout the year. Held in the Burgkloster Priory is the exhibit of twenty four thousand coins which date back from the 16th century and were found buried under ground. The Priory is a wonderful place to spend the day while in Lubeck.
