 "No 4 star hotel"
The beds were very comfortable and staff at the front desk were very helpful. However, the rooms were not well cleaned. There were pubic hairs on the toilet upon arrival and items such as mirrors had not been cleaned briefly in the middle. The rooms are small and the hotel does not have roomservice or its own bar. The name of the hotel 'chic' was probably very fitting 15 years ago but not anymore.

 "I really liked the rooms and the free wifi considering my phone was stolen..."
Pros: I really liked the rooms and the free wifi considering my phone was stolen and had to use it to contact family. the hotel staff gave me a break on the phone bill and was really appreciated. i really liked the free breakfast and free loaner laptop. very clean rooms and overall nice hotel experience.
Cons: The location of the hotel is around some rough areas so my advice was is not to go out past nightfall if you are alone. the acropolis and placa is 15 minute walk. the breakfast should open earlier than 730am for people that leave for day trips. but it is free so that is great.

The 4-star Chic Hotel is an attractive option in Athens. Aside from destinations further afield, Plaka, The Roman Agora or Forum and Ancient State Prison can all be reached on foot from the accommodation.
