There are many people who will attest that Greek coffee is the best kind of coffee in the whole world. As such, it is also in the capital city in Greece where you will find the oldest coffee store in the country. One of the attractions located close to some of the hotels in Athens and the oldest in the city, Loumidis is the coffee store that you can find by the corner of Panepistimiou and Eolou streets. The store sells the traditional coffee type that Greeks like most, as these make the strongest coffee. However, beyond the classic blends, you can also find coffee flavoured with cinnamon, almond, amaretto, hazelnut, orange and vanilla in the store. There are also traditional sweets sold here like the loukoumia flavoured with roses, mastic, honey or mastic, the sesame-based pasteli and the mandolata made of almonds. Aside from coffee and sweets, grinding mills and traditional pots, utensils most needed to create strong Greek coffee are also sold here.
