Being the seat of the Olympics, it is quite expected that Greece is abundant with great Olympic venues. One of these is the Galatsi Olympic Hall, which is located in the northwestern part of Athens, just eight kilometres away from the centre of the city. As one of the attractions that make up the tourism of Athens, the Olympic Hall is an indoor arena that serves two purposes.
Having facilities for both gymnastics and table tennis, the Galatsi Olympic Hall was the venue of the rhythmic gymnastics and table tennis events during the Summer Olympics in 2004. Because of this, the arena is a great contributor to the tourism of Athens. Constructed mainly as a new Olympics venue, the hall can accommodate as many as 6,500 spectators. The arena was completed in May of 2004, and it was officially opened in the 30th of July, just before the start of the Olympics that year.
