The town of Arachova in the Boeotia section of Greece is a tourist attraction, and at one time this was mainly because it is only a few miles from the city of Delphi. The people of Arachova got wise to this, and developed a ski resort so that their town could take advantage of the influx of people. There are also ski resorts in nearby Parnassus. The budget hotels in Arachova are committed to giving their guests customer service and great value.
Arachova and the surrounding area produce a traditional cheese known as Formaella, and an alcoholic beverage known as Tsipouro. Tsipouro is consumed as either a hot or a cold drink, usually at social gatherings. In Egosthena, there is an archeological site known as the Acropolis. You may also be interested in seeing the Glas, a Mycenaean fortress. The cheap hotels in Arachova are well appointed, and can serve as a wonderful home away from home for those who visit here.
