Drios as part of the Paros Island is very much near to some of the best attractions that are worthy to be visited by any tourists. While one of these is the Ancient Shipyard that can be found in the town itself, others such as the Church of Our Lady of a Hundred Gates, the Ancient Cemetery, the Frankish Castle and the Sanctuary of Asklipios can be found elsewhere in the island but within direct access of most of the Drios hotels.

If you will take one of the tours offered by hotels in Drios, you will notice that the Ancient Shipyard is located on the beach of the town. Once you visit this shipyard, you will see that it is really nothing more than very deep grooves that had been carved into a number of huge and broad rocks. However, if you will look at these grooves closely and consider their ancient purposes, you will be amazed at how people in the past lived. Primarily used as lifting equipment, these grooved rocks also harboured ships in the past. After this, you will be glad to retire in your Drios accomodation.
