Imerovigli is located on the Greek island of Santorini. This traditional little village gets its name from the word 'vigla', meaning 'day', and sits high atop a precipice along the edge of a caldera. The enormous Skaros rock fronts this seaside village and was part of the island’s land mass until 1800. The 13th century castle of Scaros is easily reached via a foot path and along the way, visitors are treated to excellent views of the island. After exploring the miles of black beaches which surround Imerovigli, take in a bit of the night life at the Blue Note restaurant, which serves traditional Greek dishes.
