Mykonos is undoubtedly one of the best islands that you can lay your eyes on. From afar, you can see white buildings that seemed like castles surrounded by yachts and boats just waiting there for another weekend. Mykonos is also a tourist destination for these structures such as the Paraportiani. Built in 15th century, the actual building was only finished after three centuries. It’s a beautiful white building where the inside is divided into five churches. You’ll know more about this place when you visit the Aegean Maritime Museum, where on display are ships up to the 19th century, ancient maritime apparatus and the history of Mykonos. Also, you don’t want to miss the Boni Mill, the oldest windmill in the island. Constructed in the 17th century, the windmill still functions with the use of the old techniques.
