Mykonos is the main city located on the Cycladean island of the same name in Greece. There is so much to see and do in Mykonos that you may want to plan on staying for quite some time. Nicknamed “Little Venice”, the city consists of a maze of whitewashed alleys. Orient yourself by beginning explorations from Matogianni Street (the only which is marked), the bus station of Plateia Remezzo, or Taxi Square. The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is an excellent example of Italian-style architecture. The Archaeological Museum and the Maritime Museum are both worth visiting. At night, plan on stopping by Space or the Scandinavian Bar for a taste of the city’s vibrant nightlife.
