The town never stops to amaze you!As an alternative you may take day excursions to the unique Samaria Gorge (the biggest in Europe), Kournas Lake, exotic beaches of Elafonisi, Falassarna, Gramvoussa, Balos (where you can take a mini cruise, too). Sail South Crete by Ferry (Chora Sfakion, Agia Roumeli, Sougia). Explore unspoiled villages around Chania, eat their local produce. Of course a visit to Knossos, Archaeological Heraklion Museum is a must.
