Zaros Hotels and Accommodation
Zaros is a good sized, very pretty village that is located in the Heraklion area of Greece. It is a green oasis, with many trees and other growing things dotted here and there all over the village. Zaros is known for its delicious, very pure water, which is used to irrigate the crops that grow so well here. The recreation center of Zaros has an actual oasis that was formed in an area near the Votomos spring, and there is much to do and see here. Beautiful trees, stone fountains, and more are used for decoration, and there is also a traditional mill here. The budget hotels in Zaros and the surrounding area are well appointed, and care is taken to make you feel right at home.
Nyritos, just a couple of miles away, has some gorgeous examples of architecture that are well worth seeing. You will also want to see the Kamares Cave, the Archeological Museum of Heraklion, and the Vrontissiou Monastery with its 15th century marble mountain and 14th century frescos. You will find that the cheap hotels in Zaros and the surrounding areas are a very good deal, and you will definitely be pleased with your accommodations.
