Mytilene is the capital city of the stunning Greek island of Lesbos. The city commands a fabulous waterfront position which when viewed from out at sea gives it its own very special character. The city was built on seven hills, one of which was recovered from the sea in the 1st century AD by natural means, enabling the city to further expand.
