Best Western Hotel Parlament Budapest

I called ahead to confirm the room was a "deluxe double", good sized room on the morning of checking in and informed them of my late evening arrival. upon arriving, we were given a handicapped room on the ground floor next to the deliveries and staff entrance. it was very loud throughout the night and it was also hot. as we were on the ground floor, we could not open the windows (there were also people sleeping outside on the street). further, the aircon/ventilation didn't work properly and would only generate heat. it was a hot night and therefore a horrible experience. we did not get any sleep until 4-5am and then missed breakfast. we requested a move, but were only given a room with two single beds as this was the best available. there was also an issue with the room rate, which was higher than anticipated. i had reserved a room over a month ahead and thought that the euro rate was provided as a courtesy to understand cost and that it was based on a set amount of hungarian forints. the euro spiked and they insisted we still pay the euro rate which raised the cost nearly 20,000 huf for the three nights (and 20,000 higher than the rates advertised even leading to the day ahead!) this didn't make any sense as all of the fine print stated that the room was based on the local currency. they conceded a small reduction, but it wasn't commensurate with the fair rate or the awful and exhausting experience we had on the first night. overall not satisfied with the easytobook or hotel parlament experience.
