If you are on the hunt for a wonderful place to go in Budapest, Hungary, without tons of crowds and a beautiful setting, you simply have to go to the Parizsi udvar. This building was originally designed to be a shopping center in 1913 by the famous architect Henrik Schmahl. Even for its time it was thought to be too fancy and over the top for a shopping arcade. Today, it is a far cry from the more modern Budapest shopping centers. Fancy or not, you have to see what else this building contains.

The designer sure knew what he was doing when he added elegant motifs and mosaics to the interior of the Parizsi udvar. You will also be able to see tons of ornaments and intricate, delicate woodworking along the roof. As noted, you can avoid the crowds, see an attraction rich in history and beauty, and maybe even get a little shopping done.
