The museum is a statement about both the Nazi and the Socialist occupation of this gorgeous country.
Inside the walls of this former jail, torture chamber, and execution chamber, you will find not only memorials to the people needlessly and cruelly murdered, but also artifacts of the regimes responsible for the tragedies. The museum has had its share of controversy, but since its doors opened in 2002, it has become a very popular, though upsetting place to visit.
