This ancient seaside town is one of the oldest in Hungary. It celebrated its 1000th anniversary in 1991, but archeological remains reveal it was inhabited long before that. Points of interest include Roman ruins and numerous examples of stylish Baroque architecture. A lot of intriguing history of this area is to be seen at the local history museum called the Falumúzeum.
